Its black, only Playstation of any colour over then black is my Silver PS2, (well silver and dust these days). And not counting PS1s in that.,
It was from the Socom 1 box I got the answer.
My socom 1 box is in a big box with all my other game boxes due to the number of ps2 games i had finding a game was difficult so organised them into cd travel cases in alphabetical order. However i still have my Socom II headset bundle on show

The same had also happened to mine the envelope had been slit at the bottom so came in a royal mail bag saying apologies. This seems pretty weird
