Holy mackeral, you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a SOCOM screen that looks even remotely funny.  Or at least something you can add a screenshot to.

I have a few PSP SOCOM Promo UMDs to give away and I felt like having a wee caption competition to do so on.  There's the screen shot up at the top of the post, use Paint or the arty computer programme of your choice to add a speech bubble or just submit a line of text below to outline what is going on.

I'm looking for the 5 funniest submissions from you lot, the prize list is as follows:

1 copy of Fireteam Bravo 1

1 copy of Fireteam Bravo 2

1 copy of Tactical Strike

2 copies of Fitreteam Bravo 3

Once we have our 5 winners it will be a case of first come first served for the prizes, I will PM all winners.

Competition Terms & Conditions

1. This promotion is open to residents of Ireland and the United Kingdom aged 16 years or over.

2. To enter this promotion, entrants must:

(i)            Go to the local language forum at http://community.eu.playstation.com/playstationeu (“the Forum”);

(ii)           Click on the SOCOM HQ board;

(iii)          Click on the  Win some PSP UMDs in our Caption Competition thread;

(iv)         Sign in to their PlayStation®Network (PSN Account), or if they don’t already have one, create and sign in to a PSN Account;

(v)          Submit an entry for the caption contest by using any of the official templates located in the description of the competition, adding their chosen text on to the template, and posting the template on to the competition thread. The official templates must not be resized. Entries may only be submitted in JPEG format.

3. Registration for PSN is subject to acceptance of the PSN Terms of Service and User Agreement and PSN Privacy Policy.

4. The opening date is 02/05/2012 at 14:30 BST and the closing date is 21/05/2012 at 09:00 BST.

5. All entries must be original and the entrant’s own work (please click on the General Rules for further details). Entrants may enter the promotion more than once but will only be eligible to win one prize.

6. Entrants must adhere to the General Rules and in particular, to sections 7 and 8. In addition, entries must not contain any (i) pornography, nudity, or sexually explicit imagery, (ii) abusive, offensive or hateful imagery or language, (iii) harassing or defamatory content, (iv) content that compromises the privacy or safety of yourself or others, (v) content that demeans a particular gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, ethnicity or nationality, (vi) violent or dangerous behaviour, and/or (vii) spam, advertising or other commercial activities.

7. Following the closing date, the judge(s) will select 5 winners who they consider have submitted the most creative and interesting caption competition entry.

8. The prizes for the winners are:  1x promo of SOCOM Fireteam Bravo, 1x promo of SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 2, 1x promo of SOCOM Tactical Strike, 2x promo of SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3. The total value of the prize is approximately £93.43p No cash alternatives will be offered.

9. The winner will be notified by e-mail within 2 weeks of the closing date and will be given 4 weeks to claim their prize.

10. The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to dispatch the prize within 30 days of receipt of the entrant’s claim but the Promoter does not accept any responsibility for prizes that are dispatched later than this period.

11. Prizes shall be sent by post to the address associated with the winner’s PSN Account.

12.  If the prize is found to be defective or damaged on delivery, the Promoter must be notified in writing within 7 days of the delivery date, otherwise the prize will be deemed to be accepted as delivered. This does not affect your statutory rights (if any).  

13. The Promoter shall publish the winner’s PSN online ID and country of residence on the Website. Entries may remain on the competition thread within the Forum at the Promoter’s discretion.
