Issues with Sharpshooter custom setting

Has anyone else had any issues with the custom settings for sharpshooter? I was playing on this mode perfectly well past the leviathen stage, when all of a sudden, after my move turned off by itself, it no longer holds any changes to the mode in this setting.

What I mean is that the turning mode has three settings, quick, modal and focal. I want modal, but every time I select it, then go back out and back in, quick is set again. This is true both in game and from the main menu.

Anyone else had this or similar issues? Was loving the game until this!
