Hi all,

The guys and girls from the SingStar Studio have been reading your feedback about the content available on the SingStore and wanted to let you know about what you can expect to see coming to the Store very soon.

The original vision for SingStar, as outlined in early preview coverage, was to have more than 350 songs available on the SingStore. The team are working hard to regularly increase the amount of content on the Store and tomorrow eighteen new tracks will go live in the SingStore (15 English and 3 Spanish tracks), including songs from KT Tunstall, David Bowie and Blur.

This will be followed by an update early February, which will include tracks from The Editors and MC Hammer. We will be updating the SingStore with new content twice monthly thereafter.

Thanks for the update. If Changes, Waterloo sunset and/or Dancing in the Street from Bowie are in there as part of tomorrow's update I'll be a happy man.

All well and good but they only released this communication in response to the outcry. If we had sat there quietly like the mice they want us to be we would have been told nothing.
I want to know why they made the claim when now 10 months after it was supposed to launch we are still nowhere near this 300 songs and won't be for several more months.
There was also no mention of compenstation for registered Singstar users and an apology for the lack of communication NOT for the lies and outages.
They may as well have spat in our faces.

Right firstly, I suppose thanks for the update. Finally we hear some official news and we now know what is going on behind the scenes.

But secondly, you said youself that PS3 owners were promised 350+ songs at launch, fair enough perhaps you were being over optimistic and it simply wasn't possible to fulfill that promise, I understand that. But weve been waiting for weeks, and you say were only going to be getting 18 tracks tommorow.

Jesus, actually what have you guys been doing? The first update contained like 21 songs, weve been waiting for 3 or so weeks and we can't even get that many? No offence but, "The team are working hard to regularly increase the amount of content on the Store", by the sounds of it is complete and utter *******s.

Not good enough. 18 songs average per update at 2 updates per month is 350 songs by October.

Il return my singstar and buy it new in october when there is 350 songs for it.

Look, were not asking too much. 1 BIG batch of songs, say 60 or so followed by 18 twice a month.... i can live with that. 36 tracks a month?? Whats the point... I may aswell buy the PS2 games from ebay at £10 each and get 30 songs from each of them.

If Vanilla ice aint on there tommorrow im gonna be ******.

well technically you are getting 33 songs over a month, 18 songs tomorrow and two weeks time another 33 songs (yes I know you mean Calendar months )

I hope that this is just the beginning, and they start increasing the updates. For all we know, we might be getting 10 songs a week, once its sorted out.
