Hi
Apologies if this has all been dealt with (absolutely sure it has!) but can't find it all in any clear form at all, also, alot of the answers have a ton of 'in-jokes' between the people replying which means I don't understand half of it!!
We've just got a PS3 and I've only just discovered how much more there is to the Singstar 'extravaganza'! So, I've just ordered a PS3 Singstar disc, am I right in thinking, once that arrives I'll be able to do some kind of 'disc swap' thing which basically means my PS3 will read my PS2 discs each time? Also, it will enable me to purchase songs online?
If I do purchase packs/individual songs online, what's the option of saving them? I've read that if you lose PS3/crash etc., you'll lose your songs and have to repurchase - is there a way of saving them onto a USB and then uploading them again, should you need to?
Or..... are there tons of bits I'm missing and that I may need to be aware of.....??
Big thanks, in advance.

Hey Mate,
Playstation 2 games do work on PS3's via disc swap... you do need to own a PS3 game and when you are choosing your songs, press SELECT... then remove your disc and pit in a new one. *Note: PS3's only play PS2 discs that are the same region... eg, you cant buy a disc from the US and play it in UK
Also With downloaded content, they work with any ps3 singstar disc aswell. They show up on the carousel and they are playable...
If your PS3 breaks, You can still get you songs back. You just have to call Sony and they will unlock them from your origional PS3 and lock them to your new one... the process takes about a week.
There is no way of saving downloaded songs to a new PS3 without this step. as there is a code in the download that says which ps3 downloaded it
