Like a lot of people here I have all of the PS2 and PS3 Singstar discs. I would ldeally like to put them on the hard drive so i can play them directly without swaping discs. It seams that this is not going to happen anytime soon, so can the Singstar team look at this idea as a soultion to this.
Make it possible to register eachof your discs on Singstar so the preveiws of each song can be seen on the carousel, but when you select the song it will ask you to swap the disc. That way all of the songs we have got are visible when playing and you don't forget about the discs sitting on the shelf. I know sony would like us to all buy the songs a second time through the singstore but why should i when i already have the song on a disc. To me this is no different to the opition of showing the store songs.
Just an idea.

Most PS2 SingStar discs will work on the PS3 version of SingStar regardless of what version system you have by using the disc swap facility (pressing <SELECT> during the carousel). I believe that it is only the Bollywood & Disney ones that don't work (all the ones I have work fine with disc swap).

Hello. I think people are mi-understanding what i am suggesting. I know i can swap the discs during the game.
What i am asking for for is the ability for the carosel to show all of the songs that i have on my various discs. Then when i select the song on the carosel the software will promit me to change to the correct disc. This way i don't forget about the 20 discs sitting on the shelf (approx 600 songs). When friends play Singstar they can then see all of the songs that i have in one place instead of looking on the back of boxes or on a spreadsheet.
Again just an idea but if Sony are not going to allow us to put the songs from the discs onto the hard drive i think this is a good compromise.

I agree, this is a great idea, even if it is just a preview like you said, would make the whole process of picking songs a lot easier (the writing on the back of the game case is too small when drunk! lol)
