Since the new update I get distortion from the Mic output in video playbacks when using HDMI as my audio output.  It only seems to affect audio generated from the Mics (background music and track audio is fine).  If I switch to AV multi out for audio everything is clear just as HDMI was before the update.

I initially thought it was linked to the Latency Reduction feature but have just run some more tests and found this not to be the case.

Has anyone else noticed this and if there are any SingStar staff watching (or Lestrade?) are you aware of the issue?

well i'm not quite sure what your talking about ukanalyst, but I've experienced something different, which is maybe related to the patch as well. I also use an HDMI cable and I get this weird ticking or something similar, it just takes a tenth of a second maybe, but it wasn't there before and it's quite annoying when you have such a good hearing like I do. (i'm not trying to brag, I just hear stuff really well)

Something has happened to my singstar in the last week, i don't know what it is exactly but it seems to be freezing for about 500th/1000th of a second, i'm pretty sure it never used to be there,has anyone else noticed this,i think it started after the last up date.

Yeah if its like a scratching noise and happens for like a milisecond then its the same problem i've got. I mentioned it in another post previously. Its been happening since about december for me, since i passed the 100th mark of songs i've downloaded. The more I download the worse a problem it seems to be.

Basically when sound is output via HDMI it sounds like the Microphone is too close to your mouth in video playbacks and the sound breaks up even at very low volume on playback.  When I output the sound using AV multi out the sound is fine again.  The issue only started happening since the update.  I've now noticed a couple of music videos it seems to happen on as well.  It's really annoying and means I can't browse the community gallery or listen to my own video playbacks unless I switch across to AV multi out before starting the game.

I've also noticed really short sound drops when playing songs ... I have 145 songs now and I can't be sure when it started but not until I started to get up to or above 100ish I reckon.
