Probably not. I played Singstar this weekend (for old time's sake) and I had the same synchronisation problems, video editing problems etc. I lost my data twice already (deleting all photos, downloaded songs, clips) because my data got magically corrupted by that infamous 4.2 update. Now this terrible update. Gosh, Sony. You really are trying REALLY hard to lose all your fanbase, aren't you? Your QA team needs some reorganisation.Throughtout your company.

Thanks Sergio, but it wasn't the calibration. I did just that and got insanely high times (>100ms) where it was first only 10ms (as it should be). Even with manual calibration set to 10ms, the songs were always running behind my singing. Especially in audio this was evident. At least I remembered again why I did away with my PS3. It saves a tremendous amount of time on frustration management, not having a PS3 anymore. But thanks Bro, for lending it to me this weekend ;-)

I installed Update 5.0 for Singstar yesterday and it looks like I've lost all my scores/charts. I have got a copy of my Singstar stats from my old PS3 not sure if I can restore it on my new slim but it did allow me to copy it so I don't think it's one of the protected files.
How to I uninstall update 5.0?
Can I restore a stats file from my old PS3 onto my new slim version?

The only problem I have with this update is that whenever I try searching for an Audio performance, after filling in the Artist or Song filter, the selection reverts to "Video performance". This way it's impossible to search for community audio performances for a specific artist or song. ![]()
Here's hoping it's fixed soon!

Since the 5.00 update the Voice Command and Video Editing have gone ![]()
I only updated one of my disks to the latest f.w, and suprise suprise, this is the one it does not work on anymore.
The other disks still running the previous f.w are fine still.
But honestly Sony!
DO YOU NOT HAVE A QA Department who actually do any decent work! (Anyone remember f.w 4.20?)
Get a grip!

Oh look! Sony has erased my message because it was negatively affecting them. So again: PLEASE do not be negative against Sony. This is one big company who is here only for us, the happy consumers. We should wear a big smile, have happy thoughts and be very zealous towards Sony. What happened to freedom of speech Sony? Just die alongside your PS3, please.

Yeah, course I tried that. The calibration still came out as being undetectable. Another thing I noticed a bit more recently is all my video performances had vanished... Also, singstar would only record a 30sec clip and not the full clip.
However, the good news is 5.10 has been released and all those bugs have been fixed. It's working perfectly again - yay!!!
