For the second time since buying Singstar PS3, I have had to wipe all the songs from my HDD due to a corrupt song download. This seems absolutely ridiculous! The first time it happened I only had about 10 songs downloaded: on the 11th the carousel froze while accessing the HDD. Had to delete the game data and start again. Last night, after 53 downloads, this error happened again! 53 songs now have to be re-downloaded. This is especially annoying for me as I live in China (uk expat) and my connection to the singstore is at best 'poor' with constant drop outs and slooooooow downloads. 53 songs will easily take me 3 weeks.
Surely an update can solve this issue. I know I am not the only person this has happened to. Can there be a way for the game to detect a bad download without this freezing carousel issue?
Another thing that would be better for me is if we could have background downloading of songs - outside of the game. Currently songs can only be dowloaded with the singstar game being played... please sort this out, too. At least then I can play other stuff while waiting an age for the songs to download.
Future drunken nights are at stake!
