A second enhancement will be available from 4pm GMT on Friday 16 May that will introduce the following new features and functionality:
- Harmony Mode: Play duets in our new Harmony Mode, where two players can sing different lines to a song at the same time, showing off their harmonising skills.
- PSP Remote Play: Using a PSP and a wireless Internet connection, players will be able to access various areas of the game such as the SingStore and My SingStar Online.
- HD Audio Calibration: A new option that allows you to customise your settings if your HD system introduces a slight audio lag into the game by measuring any lag inherent in your system and adjusting the scoring accordingly.
Both downloads will be available free of charge to our online users.
Thanks a lot,

Even though I don't suffer from the lag issue,I have a bad feeling about this.
Read Lestrade's post again and his careful choice of words.
It does not say anything about audio calibration to bring the audio and video back into sync. It says that the games scoring will be adjusted to compensate for audio lag.
I'm guessing that singstar will now recognise if a singers is consistently singing out of synch with the video and alter the score, but the lag will remain.
Lestrade - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong?
BTW - I used Bold in 2 places within this message (hardly a hanging offence) and got this error.

Just tought one possible example to fix the audio lag.
One person uses the sixaxis to press button when a sliding mark shows in a right spot (just like in the singstar game except the singing). This repeated ten times to get the average respond of the person.
Then the same person does the same thing ten times but this time a sound is playded at same time intervals as in the previous test.
The average lag of the second test minus the lag in the first test should be the lag caused by the stereo system or vice versa for the tv processing lag. Test could be done with mic using voice input. The minor sixaxis lag doesn't matter because it's used in the both tests.
I think the method they are using is just a manual setting to adjust the delay of the sound to compensate the lag. Probably a sliding meter is used.
