Sure there is still songs where I can challenge my friends or my girl, but before I could choose "duet" from the start menu along "challenge" and "pass the mic" - is there anyone that have the same problem??
Please respond, because as it is now I want to throw all my 6 singstar games in the trash - no point in the lack of challenge and singing together without taking turns like it used to be?!?

Don't fear, duet is still there. It's my favourite mode too!
It's just called by a different name now. It's now called "cooperative". You can find it If you go to: play SingStar>play with friends>cooperative.
