How many events is it for the week? Is the survive event one of them?

I used a speed board, had a bonus boost suit, unfortunately a crappy wing suit and some ice axes all level 8. Mods I had an epic speed, normal boost and a wingsuit mod.

I don't know which way you went but from the start you jump over the edge in front of you ensuring you get tricky, land on the other side and then stick to the right and follow the flares to the drop near the bridge. You have to angle your rider to fall down the drop but heading in a right direction and your rider should fall/get pulled onto a rail below again follow the flares and head for the big jump sort of heading to the left - credit to A___ROD84 for finding this route. I started by jumping the gap, quick glide across rather than dropping to the right and then went down the pipe keeping your tricky alive but vearing left after the pipe and you will be again at the big jump mentioned above. Lauch off the jump, deploy wing suit and drop onto the roof of the cave just after the trees you fly over making sure you get tricky by the time you land. Aim for the small building on the far side going to the right of it staying up top. Aim for the trees, your tricky should still be alive, and I think just a bit further on once your tricky runs out there is a little lip to hit. Jump just before it and deploy your wing suit for a short glide home.

I'm guessing most people went the route below which took far longer. To be honest I'm still on the fence with using wingsuits in races that don't require them. It has sort of taken the skill out of finding the perfect line down the hill for the quickest time. For races that actually have gaps you need them for or for the survival courses then fair enough but on some tracks you can fly from top to bottom without doing one trick and destroy a well placed perfect run on the ground. I've a few tracks with plus 45 seconds lead just because I've flown down the track in a straight line as oppossed to zig zagging down on the ground.

One thing that would of helped tonight was knowing in advance that it was going to be level 8 max gear. Everything I've got is level 11 as I don't do the online stuff that much. It took me about 15 minutes before I could get the game to offer me a decent board and wing suit to use (and a crappy one it was at that) so in a way you're at the mercy of the game a bit if you've no lower level gear/mods on the night.

my kids swear blind in using wingsuits but i can never seem to get better times with them. i do like your point about them taking the "skill" away from racing so next week we'll have to make sure that they aren't included in the race event.

again the point about knowing what level gear is to be used is valid. our thoughts behind this is to try and even out the playing field so if we get a newbie in our league then they won't get crushed by someone on level 11 equipment. i reckon we can add a "max equipment level" to the event calendar so people will know in advance.

finally, i've seen that Tilly_uk has updated the leaderboard in the o.p. makes for interesting reading!

I've just noticed that my scores haven't been combined. I've got some scores under A___ROD84 and some under AaronLehd. Sorry for the confusion Tilly and EG.

must be my fault! i'm the one that works out the scores and sends them to Tilly. i'll check my little book of scores soon!

edit: yup, my fault. last week i sent over your scores as AaronLehd and yesterday as A__ROD84. as soon as i get access to my computer i'll pull the scores together.

Re: Über Tuesdays - The SSX League

You skip most of the track when using a wingsuit.

Takes the skill out of racing.
