Re: Über Tuesdays - The SSX League

i dont count myself as a faster player but left at the start seems the faster line . and try not to get to much air off of jumps and boost as much as you can.

Re: Über Tuesdays - The SSX League

I knew moving to the states would pay off 1 day but do yourself a favor and only buy the MT Eddie pack the classic players aren't wort it. o and after you buy them and download them you have to pay 1000 in game credit just to use each one for i know not alot but still your paying twice

Wash your mouth out !! Jumpings only for the poncey trick events. Never ever ever ever jump on a race event unless you have no boost left or you are about to run out. If I do jump it has to be a 'flat jump' where you jump well before the lip and get it so your rider peaks his jump just before/above the lip so your rider drops down quickly on the other side.  Remember while you're in the air doing fancy poncey tricks theres probably someone below whizzing by along the ground flicking the middle finger at you as they go past !!!

The best tip I can give for races is never fully max out your tricky on big jumps just because you can. Always try and leave say one tricks worth off the tricky meter so that you can extend the tricky time for as long as possible and then when the meter starts flashing get in one more final trick and you've probably bought yourself an extra 15-20 seconds of tricky boost time. Each tracks obviously different so you just have to work out how to keep the tricky going for as long as possible using the jumps available. Sometimes its best to keep off the rails if there are jumps avaialble to fly off as the grinding max's out your meter waaaaay to quick although in tonights event for example the rails were the quickest way to get your meter up and there were enough to link together to keep it going.

I find it's best to just hit the jump/bump and try to get a quick trick in off the natural air and land and carry on and repeat hoping that you can keep boosting until the big jump or grind to get the big tricks in to trigger the tricky. Like I said each tracks different and everyone will play different but to shave those seconds off as a rule I try to not jump at all.

Re: Über Tuesdays - The SSX League

It's a bit cheap but you can also do a manual/board press and boost if you've got a fairly straight bit of track. You lose very little speed (if any) and it keeps tricky time alive.

That I didn't know although I'll probably struggle with the classic set up and my big hands. Wish Playstation would bring out a bigger controller for us freaks with long fingers so I can press the buttons with my finger tips as oppossed to pressing them around my knuckle area. And they should make one with a toweling finish so my hands don't slip off the controller when they get sweaty !!!
