Well game play is fun. Its trickier than what I thought and takes time to pull tricks and combos together some of the deadly decents are stupid but hey its practice. Find it better without the ssx music as its abit distracting and concerntrated more on the music than game play then wondered why I kept losing. Now with the music off, am flying through the world tour with ease and puliing massive combos off. The thing that annoys me is some of the trick it races, as it seems that even before you start the A.I has massed a 10000 point lead even before you have started and constantly seems to be in tricky mode in some races. As for the courses you need 2-3 attempts on them as there are so many ways down not just one. I am dissapointed it has no free play mode to practice tricks, steering etc before you attempt the world tour. The explore section interesting but I see no difference from the world tour as again its race trick it or the deadly. as for online play tried it once and came third in a trick it race, just 4 days after buying the game. if people are going to think that this game will be a walk in the park to complete, forget it, it is tricky and not that easy. OH one thing to the makers of this....I think its taking the pee you want players to pay for points from the ps3 store. I dont think any of us are that sad really as practice makes perfect and you can collect points all the way

lol.

I was a bit unsure at first, good fun but not 3 or tricky. Just started the Africa tracks and really enjoying it now - it just looks awesome.

Not as bright and fun though, and actually dying is really annoying.

I will always have this memory to try and live up to though:

Once you've learnt the majority of the courses, it gets more fun.

Re: SSX 1st impressions

I've given up on the world tour mode (whatever the offline bit is) because the new zealand deadly descent is ridiculously hard and after spending god knows how long I've had enough. It's obviously not impossible but I can't do it.

I will probably go and do some of the explore tracks because the africa ones and the alps were cool.

The one where you need Pulse Goggles?

If you think that's hard, wait til you reach the final grudge match.

yeah, the race before it took me about 40 minutes and I just scraped 3rd.

The pulse goggles are horrible you can't see the stupid massive gaps, it's just a test of how well you can memorise the track.

I'll do some online stuff and see if I can get a better board to be faster and maybe try later.

Yeah, the impossible to see death drops are a terrible design flaw. A lot of reviews have put that in their "negative" section.

It's just ruined my enjoyment of the game.

Along with having to restart because I get stuck in the of mountains. Crashing and losing is my own fault but it can be possible to get it back, if you glitch into the mountain you crash into and have no choice but rewind or restart I get annoyed.
