All my life I have wondered why no golf game has had Augusta national - now look at this:

To think that since I got the Move I was tinkering with the idea of getting Tiger Woods 2011 and nearly got it. This comes out at the end of March!

These games seem to be coming out earlier every year, tiger woods 11 came out in July last year, now tiger woods 12 is coming out end of march (US), April 1st (UK) worldwide, what's next year january?, i like these games, but i would like to see them released in the summer instead of spring this year

I'm working as part of the UK team on the game, yeah.
I have had a chance to play Augusta over the last few days - it's a treat of a course if you like challenging greens. ![]()

Tiger Woods games are good looking (although no moving trees in PS3 versions?), solid games. But what annoys me is the complete lack of innovation, particularly online i feel. Look what FIFA has done in the last few years, really pushed things forward. I want to be able to set up a room/lobby for a tournament (with various settings) which i can give a password for. This would allow me and my friends to have our own tournos, when we can play, have the EA servers record scores so there is no cheating. It's a feature like that which i would call innovations. The other thing that annoys me is that it is always the same number of courses and players. Really? In an era of BluRay, c'mon. Is the lack of real innovation down to tight dev cycles, is it in the contract with TW that a game has to be released every year to maxmise takings? This franchise could do with a 2yr cycle in my opinion, to give the team the time to create features that warrant a new release yearly.
Apart from that, I will probably pick this up, even the special edition. I didn't get TW11, not enough new features over TW10 to warrant it. Have the Move controls been improved over TW11? I read that they weren't the best, even compared to that John Daly game.

i have been a fan of the ea sports golf games for many years, playing them well before they jumped on the tiger woods bandwagon.and until tw11 i these games have kept me occupied for many months, even though the online scores are ludicrously low in tournament mode. but tw11 kept me occupied for only a week or so. its truly awful. the graphics are one of the most important part of a golf game, and in tw11 they have taken many steps backwards. i recently got a new top og the range samsung led tv and boy when i booted up tw111 for the first time in months, it looked dreadful. the backdrops look like a ps1 game. anyway this brings me to tw12, i do hope they have overhauled the games engine, and also hope they have not spend all their funds on acquiring the rights to the masters.the masters committe are notoriously difficult to deal with and have guarded the rights to their tournament closely. so the price for the official rights to this game will have been very high. for the first time i will hesitate before i buy an ea golf game. its got to be a case of try before you buy.
