So I have been thinking about my somewhat upcoming travelling plans and for the life of me can't decide what to do! I know I am either going to Japan and NZ or just one epic NZ trip. Thing is, as much as I would LOVE to go to Japan to go snowboarding, getting time off work is pretty difficult though I am going to persist But, I was thinking, should I try to do  both or should I just save up all my money and go to NZ for 2-3 weeks later on in the year instead of the 7-10 day trip I would be doing.

Basically I am going to both places to snowboard and sight see a bit (even though this will be trip #4 to NZ), so input mainly to do with snow etc would be helpful, but any suggestions are more than welcome! Even another country to visit instead?

Time off work can be negotiated - if they value your work they can work around it if they know you're coming back (although they might not necessarily pay for all of it).

I wouldnt recommend QLD at the moment. My backyard is full of water and cane toads.

7 - 10 days holiday, in two locations (two very different locations) to do the same thing.

hmmm.

Depends what you prefer - a quick trip squeezing in as much sight seeing and snow boarding as possible, or one longer trip with probably even more snowboarding and sight seeing..and relaxing (and probably less expensive - which means you can save up and wait and do the other place another time)

Vegas is supposed to be gross, expensive and super sleazy

In the US theres afew places Id like to see but Vegas ain't one of them.

No plans of travel this yr for me though

Go to Japan! I went snowbarding in Niseko and Hakuba and also a bit of travelling around Tokyo, Sapporo, Osaka earlier this year. It was an awesome holiday, the people there are very nice to tourists and so helpfull, and the powder is amazing!, they get so much snow there.
Did NZ last year winter which was also awesomo. If youve already been 4 times i suggest Japan.
Next trip for me will hopefully be NYC, with a trip to Utah for shreddin.
