Re: SSX: Deadly Descents

Got my copy and played a bit over the weekend. Wasn't a huge fan of the avalanche stages but other than that it's been quite enjoyable.

Has anyone found spending the credits on the mystery items worth it? I've seen a couple of suits pop up between 300k and 500k credits but wasn't too eager to drop that much on something that might just give me a small trick perk or similar.

Really lacking people on my friends list that have this game too sadly, so any friend requests from people that do have it would be more than welcome :smileyhappy:

Re: SSX: Deadly Descents

I seem to be getting a heap of "adds" from the RiderNet recommendation system and GeoTags...pretty much like NFS Autolog caused for me.

Fair point. I get a couple of recommendations when you first start up the game and hit select, but I'd still prefer to have forumers on my list than randoms.

Re: SSX: Deadly Descents

haven't played a snowboarding game since 1080 on the 64....but i found this one to be a bit of fun...there's a few annoyances like the load screen & getting stuck behind objects..... but doing a near perfect run full of tricky is pretty rewarding.....it really would of been better with proper multiplayer.... ghosts meh.... i ain't afraid of no ghosts! :smileywink:

Gratz on the platinum Scunter. Was it Alaska that you golded everything on in the end in Explore mode? I've got mostly gold in the Rockies but some of them are insanely hard to get (both the Broken Tooth ones in particular). Wondering where I should focus on...

Going to have to grind the 60mins in a wingsuit and go on a geotag hunting expedition to get me closer to the platinum as well.

@kuldoog. Yeah the loading screen takes ages. I've had mine get stuck on the RiderNet part a couple of times too. After that though they are nothing out of the ordinary.

I actually like the multiplayer aspect it has. Beating someone's score/time to earn some extra credits is good incentive to give it a shot and if you fail they get credits. That said it would be good if you could have live races or score offs in addition to that.

I picked it up. SSX is very enjoyable. Feels like you unlock something with every run, which feels rewarding. It's great for pick-up and play but still hard to master. No local multiplayer is a bummer though.

Picked this game up recently. I too was pretty disappointed by the lack of local multiplayer. Should be something that's mandatory in a game like this.

Still enjoy the game though, easy to pick up and play and can be pretty satisfying getting to Super Tricky.
