So it looks like there is no thread for this yet. I can probably guess why... But there may be a least a little discussion to be had about it.

Firstly, what's with this this promo image from whattheyplay.com?! Now, everybody should know that these are fake by now, but the advertisers should put in a little effort - the kid on the board is doing a tail grind, yet the character onscreen is obviously doing a nose grind. Geez!!

Tail grind mean a 5-0 anyway this been out for soem time in us and hasn't sold well the game is pretty crap and the board doesn't work all that great the level's are tiny and turning is poor everything about it is just fail i wish tony would bring out a Pro Skater/ Thug 1 style game with THAW style Online rather then trying to make a skate sim like Skate.

I had a play with it at the opening of the new EB in adelaide, it's good but it doesn't play all that well, I'll stick to Proving Ground

See, the thing is when you make a game with a peripheral you expect that peripheral to work better than you imagined. The singstar microphones, the Guitar Hero guitars, the rock band drum kit, the DJ Hero pad, they all work work for those who can master them, now Activision are stuck with this thing that you can't work. Apparantly the thing is just about pointed on the bottom so you can't keep upright very well. Now Activision could admit it was a total failure but companies don't do that, you just make 4 or 5 additional games that don't work well to recoup your losses and then admit it was a total failure. By that time Tony Hawk could be so far behind Skate that it isn't funny. Unfortunately Tony Hawk is intertwined with the likes of Guitar Hero, a brilliant franchise with a promising concept and fantastic success after the first couple of games who inexplicably went downhill for not evolving and staying in their comfortable groove.

ride is aweful and i havent even played it! we have skate 1 and 2 with 3 also coming soon, why bother with tony hawk? haha just my point anyways.
