G'day ANZ Starhawkers,

QD and SPT did a joint 'for fun' get-together a week and a half ago, and had a great time - nothing too serious, just get everyone together in a room and mess around, mixing up the sides (so it wasn't QD v SPT, but a bit of both on both sides, with people switching over the course of the night) and just messing about.  We thought about doing another, and didn't want to leave you guys out if you were interested.

I'll set it up at 7:30pm AEST/9:30pm NZ (although if someone is keen and wants to set it up earlier, post away - I just can't guarantee I'll be back from work and fed before then), call it something along the lines of "ANZ Starhawk Night", give it a fiendishly difficult password of ANZ - should be enough of a barrier to keep it local, but easy enough for peeps to join if they've got a bad memory - and get into it.  Will be a mix of matches/modes (any requests, post away below ).  It'll be ranked, so everyone can keep unlocking their funky skins.

Also, we'll try and keep the teams fairly even on this, and stay away from base-smashing in TDM (which is about as much fun for the defending side as a trip to the dentist - it's not such an issue in Zones or CTF, as it means the game's over pretty quick, although if that does start happening we should make sure the teams aren't getting too unbalanced).

it sucks that there don't seem to be any aud servers. all the aus servers I've payed have been pretty laggy

I thought this looked ok... maybe not the Dogfight TDM (I think AHA may dominate it ) but yeh the rest might go ok.

I am planning on setting it up tonight to try it out.

pretty laggy for me unfortunately. Knifed from a few metres away and other anomolies.... I'm pretty sure we don't have any servers here is AUS

Y'see, that's why you need to spend time playing CoD and BF - after that, Starhawk is almost lag-free .  That's an exaggeration, of course, but I find lag much less of an issue than either of those two, and most other games online.
