I agree, more often than not now I find when I join a game I join on a side who gets killed the minute they're spawned or I join on the other side which has my team just sitting in the enemy base in tanks/Hawks spawn killing.

I did play one really good CTF match last night though where most of my team were similar ranks to me (between 1 and 15) and they all seemed to be working towards the common goal of defending flag and taking the higher ranking baserapers flags. All the other team were doing is trying to score as many kills as possible and admittedly they were totally owning us but in the end our team won because we managed to get their flag twice and they failed to get ours. The whole game I did base defence with a lot of other members of my team and personally I think we did a sterling job against very experienced players who seemed to just be trying to get XP through kills.

This moves me onto my next point, I reckon you should get XP points when you've built a vehicle platform and someone else spawns a vehicle from it.

If you build a Hawk platform or a garage & 10 vehicles are spawned from it you get the supplier award & a so many points....

Also when you build a turret if it destroys an enemy whilst being controlled by the AI and not another player then the person who built that turret should get some XP, or when someone uses the ARM that you build. Also if you drive a Razorback and the gunner gets a kill then surely the driver should get some of that too. It would encourage players to support each other more.

Another thing about base pounding - is nobody setting up defense domes? That was the way in the beta to stop the enemy shooting up the heart of your base. As the battle matured your base would get staked out if you didn't have a defense dome (or whatever it's called).

Defence Domes are good & bad.....

There good because it gives you a little respite from the enemy & you can put a assets under it....

But there bad because once up the few assets you origionaly put there kept getting added too so its a very tempting target for a Hawk with a Torpedo....

Also you see teams put 2 or 3 up which although may protect you for a time it limits the number of turrets able to fire at an enemy because even though its your defence dome you cant shoot from one & through another...

So start to put a few in & they become a liability....

Also they're pretty darned expensive, that rift cash could be spent on more turrets instead.

Re: Anyone know of the legitimate design decision for this shambles?

Was only joking bilbo. not a rage quiter, But why would I bother to play for another 20minutes if it's not fun at all? Much rather find a game that is. Iv never been in a game where loads of people have dropped out before its over, people do tend to see it through, which is pretty good. I do hope level capped servers do appear, but why don't people start some games that say low level/noob? And kick those that join who are ruining it for everyone? Just a thought?! I may start one and post it on here.

I played in a game the otherday & the enemy went from 16 down to ONE!!!!!!"

We had players on our team with kills of 42.....

The idea is nice about low level players but as someone pointed out earlier what if a Warhawk general buys the game & is only level 7 he can join that game & will instantly have the upper hand in a Hawk because there very much the same...

Re: Anyone know of the legitimate design decision for this shambles?

Popp-klump I wasn't having a go, I was just stating that is exactly what happens, people rage quit because its not enjoyable. This is where the problem is, it happened in Warhawk too but its more apparent in Starhawk and seems to be every game.

I would say setting up a server like that would be a great idea. I would join, if I was within the levels.

No worries didn't think you were bilbo. It's not really anything to do with levels or skill it's to do with sportsmanship and wether you want a game or a kdr to boast about, having a balanced team is good sine high level some low. And with any luck the lower follow the higher levels and the higher levels help the lower.. God I sound like some sort of multiplayer hippie?! It's just getting like minded people all in on a game.
