Re: Anyone know of the legitimate design decision for this shambles?

[ Edited ]

Really guys!? Really!?

Why is this suddenly a problem when it never was in Warhawk?

I think it's a clever design decision. You have to make a choice - defend and strengthen your base or attack. Rarely can you do both. I've seen, and played in, teams that have kicked ludicrous amounts of buttocks by simply holding their fort well. Equally, I've seen teams that put so much pressure on the enemy that there's no need to bother defending their base.

What's more, it's not like the spawn zones are restrictive. If you're clever enough with where you land your pod, there's less chance that you'll be seen by spawn campers and can shoot off to set up base elsewhere.

If I were you, I'd be complaining about the cost of getting weapons within the first few seconds of spawning. THAT is the real problem here - the fact that you have squat all to defend yourself with when you run out of Rift.

Yeah I don't get I either. The game needs some tweaks to nerf a few things, but there is away to stop things getting into your base and wrecking everything. This is we're the problem lies.... Not many people seem to want to stay put and defend. Was in a game the other day and for once left the base on a bike straight away with a few others, took a zone and started building defences only to realise the other 3 had buggered off?!?! Held on to the zone for a while but no reinforcements came and it wasn't long before it was gone and I was back respawning in the home base.... We lost. Wonder why? If you use the tools you have well the things shouldn't be able to get through so easily. Although if you are facing a good team then they will counter act it and you will have a bloody good fight on your hands.... Which is when it gets fun. I like the fact it's hard at the moment when it all goes to plan its really satisfying.

I think we need to just relax for a while. There are alot of new players who will need some time to work out how to play their way out of trouble. Give it a few more weeks when everybody has a better idea of how to play and base poundings will ease off.

You can get into the enemy spawn on battlefield

But that's not the point is it

Simply put Man up. Stop moaning. Try harder. There Is a way out of every base pounding. You have the tools. Now you need the tactics n strategy.

My god if some of the people playing. Tried as hard at the game as they do at whining. They'd be level 50 by now

i'm sorry.. but i do NOT understand how the hell you can say "now you need the tactics and strategy"

WHAT STRATEGY? if you're being base rap3d YOU CANT DO ***** BUT SPAWN AND GET KILLED IN 30 SECONDS IF LESS. it baffels me when people like you say "stop complaining" i tried, i really tried to find some way to get out of a base rap3, i consider myself a good pilot, but even when i managed to get in the air i always die within minutes because there would be 3 starhawks on my ass.

but it seems people like you are some kind of super pros that can turn the tide of a base rap3 no sweat. so please, why don't you make a video showing all of us lesser skilled players  your "tactic and strategy" so we can learn from it. I mean, if you insist that there is a way out of 'every' base pwning then at least 3 tanks, 2 hawks and a bunch of troops camping your base would be no problem to someone as pro as you.

Some of you say that you can spawn, land somewhere outside the base and zoom off on a bike or something. But what is the likely hood that you'll come across someone in a tank who is heading to your base to spawn kill? And even if you do get away, what then ? Earlier today, i was being raped by this one tank that destroyed everything i made. I eventually got away, but because it was CTF, i had to go to the opponents base, seeing as i couldn't defend my own because of the tank. I had NO spare rift, i got to the other base and turrets are shooting at me. WTH are you supposed to do ? Hang around in the middle of no-man's land hoping someone goes past that isn't in a tank ? Eventually i tried getting passed the turrets in the opponents base, died, spawned back at base, spawn kill cycle restarts.
