Hardly gives any advantage for hawks by being able to fly through freely but I dunno, maybe when they introduce bombs things will get messy when it might be needed. Too early to tell.

We could'nt fly through them in WH.....

But then we did have the ability to burst them.....

Letting Hawks fly through is a good thing. It prevents the shield from being TOO overpowered.

Against a team with a solid set of defenses outside a shield that covered most of their base, I flew high up, and came stright down into the middle of the shield - found much less firepower inside, took out the shield then pretty much instantly died to all the turrets that could now attack me. Didn't care, because I got the shield down, and my teammates were there to clean up after me. If there are solid defenses INSIDE the shield as well, then it's a problem.

Also keep in mind that anything inside the shield is also prevented from firing out.

Re: Force bubble and fortified bases

The Bubble wont last a second with the new TOW. Well that's if they don't change it, it actually takes the shield down, also the ground troops should be taking the shield down, takes the whole of 2 seconds fire a few rockets and grenades or you can even drop a few mines down when there players hit the mines boom kill and no shield

@Obliviondoll I am 100% sure you can fire out of the shield if you are standing inside but you cant shoot from outside into your own shield.

Re: Force bubble and fortified bases

Getting rid of a Force Field can be the difference between winning and losing IMO so it's always worth making the effort to remove them. And, because of their cost, it's hard to quickly replace.

On Space TDM, my team was planted up on that floating area in the corner, overlooking the enemy base. They had a Force Field and I managed to get in with my Hawk and take it out, obviously getting killed in the process. But it was worth it because we won moments later.
