Ah, national service (I'm going to get called a Tory boy for this, but I don't care). Our once great nation could benefit greatly from the reintroduction of national service. Instilling in the young of today a sense of national identity, selflessness and the knowledge of what it is to serve one's country (not just cream the benefits) is just what is needed I feel. I'll stop short of the slavery for doll scum programme for the moment! .

Having done my service in the RAF, I heartily agree with both of you. Apart from getting a whole new perspective on self discipline and what having 'mates' REALLY means - a bit of National Service could really help a lot of young folk acquire some proper life skills.

Until one has perfected the art of bed packs, one cannot appreciate the simple joys of a duvet.

Although not in the services myself I know a few that have. The living space is next to nothing and the rations packs....... well............... I'd be living of the Rolo's than come in them. LOL

well i can speak english, bad english and black country fluently but the rants and tones of flat tone singing foreigners gives me earache! if you cant speak english on an english server DONT SING! by almeans come shoot at us blow us up even electrify us! just shut up and enjoy the game!

Royal Air Force u took part in almost every modern war in our days. Last that I know u was the right hand of ISAF in kabul.

So glad yet again that I’m not the only one out there that gets a little frustrated with the use of foreign languages on an English language server, but that said Wolfmangaz makes a good point about them needing to get a game, so I’ll be a little more tolerant. But the shouting, screaming, singing etc etc that accompanies their play does annoy!!! FONT]

In a similar vein, i had this today, for a solid half hour, constantly, at full volume (he was drowning out gun fire!!!!!).....

"OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!" - innane, whining, overly excited, amercian, complaining, slightly-game-related, adanoidal trill, verbal loose stool water of communicating - "JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!!!"

Yep, every second there was a yank commenting on the game (as he saw it), bracketed by blashpemy. I wish i had just found him and shot him. In real life.

What gives man?

Decided to join one of my usual 24 player Vari haunts, and what do I find? Yep, people nattering in dead languages like french and spanish..

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't that why we have servers dedicated to specific languages??

My only response was that of outrage and only fitting of that by a member of the british empire, I killed as many as possible and reminded them in a sarcastic tone that this was a english speaking server..

It's plain uncivilised I tell ya!!

Please feel free to remind them next time you're in a server with a nation we either conquered or a opressed at some point during our history..
