Please give us a chance to test out the multiplayer mode for either a limited amount of time (eg. 1 hour), or put a rank/level cap on our  character or some other kind of limitation!

In my case, I borrowed the game from a friend to test it out, only to find I needed to redeem a code just to play online. I checked the NZ PSN store and found it to be $19nzd! That's a LOT of money to gamble on something I don't even know if I'll like.

MAG lets you play the entire game but limits your rank to level 7.

Killzone3 MP lets you play until you hit a certain rank.

Why can't Starhawk offer a way to trial the MP as well? I'm not going to spend $19 on an online pass because I may not like it. If I did like it, I would have bought my own copy of the game (which would include a pass). But you're losing potential players like me by not letting us sample the MP at all.

I did play the campaign, but I'd rather try the MP, that's the selling point of the game.

It's part of this new "war against used games" every publisher feels they need to do. Sony uses online passes. Frankly if you liked the campaign chances are pretty good you'll like MP too. But teamwork is very important in Starhawk so join a clan if you buy it. If you're unsure why don't you ask your friend to try it on his/her PS3?

wait am i missing something here the starhawk beta for me was out some time end nov 2011 i got a code for private beta  after it went public jan and was free to everyone you want a trial you had 4 moths to play the dammm beta!!! now you want free trial haaaaaaaaaaa were was you in a cave with yogy bear 

if you new anything about warhawk  starhawk you would have played it sorry mate that boat sailed long time ago you got buy ti now early bird be the one to catch the worm bahhhhhhhhh

KADAFI does make quite a good point - the beta was open to everyone!

As I recall, Killzone 3 and MAG added both of those features a few months after release too - they weren't available on day one. 

Why don't you try the MP over at your mates house?

I used to play Warhawk back in the day but BF Bad Company took over, so I couldn't go back.

nevermind, I'll just wait until they implement some kind of trial, until then I'll just forget about this game.
