I agree......reduce the useage of hawks. Its only [DELETED] that rely on their power........

Played the beta non stop for about 2 months and loved it. Played the full game since release date and basically its ruined. Why spend 2 months on a beta getting the balance right only to change it for the full release. Personally i think cluster bombs need to be ditched completely, any idiot can just jump in a hawk now and get 20 kills plus easy. Im giving it another couple of weeks and if they havent realesed an update its getting binned, shame cos i was really looking forward to this game.

Another little add in to my ideas I posted originally - maybe 2 types of Hawks. Change the powerups to a simple ammo pack and have the following (with abilities following the rules I posted originally)....
Hawk Fighter
Abilities: Cloaking, air to air missles, shielding and of course machine gun. This is basically the current Hawk players are using.
Hawk Bomber
Abilities: Shielding, cluster bombs, machine gun, plus an optional player can man a second machine gun. Bigger than the Hawk fighter, can take more damage, but isn't very agile and more open to rocket launcher and anti aircraft fire. It's mech form is also slower for movement speed.

Ok we have the knee jerk reaction of "get rid of them" thats all well & good but what are you going to replace it with!!?
At the moment its probably the only thing thats going to stop a fleeing Sidewinder with a flag carrier as the missiles & mg's are pretty weak.....
If you take it away you might find that Homing missiles will be able to lock Sidewinders in the future as a way to stop Sidewinders!!!

Yup thats about right. The game is going to be unbalanced if your team sucks anyway. Lets not pull a Black Ops and nerf anything, I think starthawk is exactly how it should be.

One thing I would like to change would be to disable the shield and cloak whilst in Mech mode, I've no problem with them being used whilst the Hawk is in flight but having them available on the ground is too much.
In the early stages of the beta I thought that infantry vs mech battles were relatively well balanced, the introduction of the shield and cloak skewed things massively in favour of the mech. It will be interesting to see what effect the forthcoming patch has.

In the early stages of the Beta I think the R/L was a two shot magazine so you could take on the Mech's...
But it was deemed too unsporting to kill Mech's quickly before they had a chance to Stomp,MG & Swarm the enemy so we now have the one shot R/L we have now....
But yes get rid of the Shields & Cloak in Mech mode if they think there good enough to land in an enemy base then land without them & see how it goes.....
