Hey War/Starhawk fans.
So just because Starhawk has already been through a much sought after private beta and it's only about to go public now doesn't mean the guys behind the game are going to stop asking for feedback.
The first stage of the public trial is due to go ahead tomorrow (18th of January) for PS Plus Subscribers and anyone who was on the private trial and didn't delete the beta (according to the blog anyway, have a look in your Download List to see if you can find it).
Other stages of the public trial are:
February 1st: Those who are getting access from purchasing Uncharted 3 will receive an email. In order to get this email you’ll have had to redeemed your Online Network Pass found inside the boxed copy and made sure you’ve opted into receiving marketing emails.
February 22nd: Anyone who has a PSN Account should be able to get into the beta. I'm assuming you can just pop into the PlayStation Store and you should see it there. if not then more info should be available nearer the time.
So when you're playing the trial and feel like commenting on it, just reply to this thread with your feedback and we'll pass it onto the devs.

Wasnt to happy about the 1.2.1 update. I was expecting at least a new map or more players or even new vehicles. The only big thing about 1.2.1 is probably the old Warhawk flight and host migration. Its ok though i'm very happy with the Warhawk flight
and also very happy not being forced to leave a match because the host left. ![]()
Hope to see some huge updates so players can test some new stuff. HINT HINT WINK WINK jet bike ![]()

I was hoping to see a way of being able to track down by friends ..... and kill them.

Wow. I LOVED the private beta but this shall be my last post in the Starhawk section of the forum. ![]()
Private beta was so balanced. Rockets locked on. . and damaged warhawks. The warhawks weren't that powerful against ground troops. People loved getting in a buggy or flying to get the flag. . . everything had risk and reward. . .everything had a counter. It was such great team based fun.
The only negative thing was the knife which was an insta kill.
Played some games of the open beta earlier and. . .I'm actually disgusted at what they've done. They've brought back warhawk flying mode "arcade". This means that all the strategy and fun is gone. Everyone is in the air doing spins and summersaults. The end result is missiles and rockets are EASILY avoided (you could lock on 8 rockets and not hit a single one). It's like Warhawk all over again.
How they can have such a great new experience only to completely butcher it is beyond me. It was fine. . .and now its a mess and I'm done with it - as that won't be fixed.

Missing that option from WH where you could change seats in the jeep
i keep getting in the wrong side and forgetting the option isnt there and sit for about 5 seconds ![]()
New hawk flight is pretty decent though, much harder without hover and stuff although I miss just spammin the analog sticks left and right to dodge... now the best thing i can get it pushing the left stickon and moving but its still too "normal flight" to me ![]()
Loving that you can pick up energy from the blue tanks dotted around ![]()
Cant wait for zones to open ![]()
EDIT: forgot one thing... Might just be me being a complete ***** but on the Space map... seems a bit over powered if you manage to set up a Pod Beacon, Sniper Tower, Energy Field and supply bunker in the middle.
Mainly because you only have to wait a few moment to get new energy due there being three energy tanks within shooting range making it a quickset up.
Ive done it single handed a few times and managed to keep everything there for the whole game
Last thing: I miss my pistol.
