I cant belive I havent seen any posts on this, but not only do I experience it myself but I hear people complain all the time on mic about it.
Starhawk has got to have the worst hit detection I have ever experienced. Yes, of course a Tank directly infront of me can change its molecular structure so my rounds travel straight into the ground behind it ![]()
The Shotgun in particular seems to suffer from it badly, even against stationary enemies from close range. (curiously I notice it less close to the range limit on the shotgun than at close range...)
When you can fire an artillery strike into the middle of a 5-man cluster and not even get a hit-notifier on screen, you know something is wrong.
Its not just the hit-detection in general, its fact it is getting worse with every patch to the point I find the game near-unplayable. Finding it hard to justify playing when the ability to shoot someone seems to rely just as much on luck as on actual aiming ability, particularly when the devs seem content with removing the ability for snipers to shoot a Tank yet insist on retaining the 2-hit-kill knife on them.
