TKA Test Night - Friday 11th May @ 9PM

 TEAM_KILLERS_ANONYMOUS

Event Test Night: Friday 11th May @ 9PM BST

A CHILLING INTRODUCTION:

Spoiler

Deep within the statue of Eucadia, past a blood-stained vault door and down a set of twisted, rusting metal stairs - a light flicks on within a long abandoned basement. There, on a table illuminated by the light, lies a sacred artefact. Lost, forgotten and discarded - the evidence of its last uses still rest on the edge of the forever keen blade. Blood, spinal fluid, bone and sinew.

The knife rejects the light, an aura of darkness surrounds it. Evil rises from the darkest depths of your soul and, without the will to do so, you reach out and grasp the handle. It feels good.

You hear a whimper from the corner of the room. The weakling is wearing the same colours as you. He clutches, desperately, onto a blue flag and neglects to notice your presence. When you try to take the flag from him - he snarls. His eyes turn blue, his veins emit a strange blue light. You need the flag. He cannot have it. He is weak, you are strong. You take the knife and sink it into his chest. He dies pathetically. You claim the flag and hold it aloft and are enveloped in blinding light.

When you awake, you are somewhere new.

TKA (TEAM_KILLERS_ANONYMOUS):

Hello old friends and new! Welcome to TKA.

TEAM_KILLERS_ANONYMOUS is a game about malice, deceit and general backstabbing. If you like your gaming laced with evil, maniacal laughter and casual slaughter - this is an event for you.

TKA started as an event in Warhawk (you can read all about it here), the basic premise is very simple...

HOW TO PLAY:

TKA takes place within a standard game of Capture the Flag. At the start of the match, all players must join the Red team.  With all players on the same team, the game commences.

Each player on the red team is absolutely alone. There are 2 possible ways to win in the game:

  • Score more negative points than all other players in the game
  • Capture more flags than any other player in the game

Here is the twist: capturing the flag is one of the quickest ways to win the game. However, team killing the flag carrier earns the murderer massive amounts of negative points - providing a significant boost towards victory. Consequently, every player who picks up the flag is in for one hell of an onslaught.

The game ends when the flag capture limit is reached or the time limit expires.

STARHAWK:

Starhawk has the potential to add a devastating number of lulz to the TKA event. The construction of buildings offers a completely new concept of "flag-trapping", skilled "podding in" could produce mancaking en-masse and devastating new vehicles supply endless new ways to frag your team mates.

However, TKA has not been tested in Starhawk yet. TKA relies on a great deal of settings and game mechanics which were available in Warhawk and there is no guarantee that these will be available in Starhawk. So, before setting the event up as a regular OPC (Official PlayStation Community) Event - I'd like to run a test.

Join me on Starhawk this Friday 11th May at 9PM BST. You'll need the details below to join:

SERVER NAME: TKA

PASSWORD: fudge

DATE: 11th May 2012

TIME: 9:00PM BST

I need some volunteers! Regardless of whether you've played the game before, if you have Starhawk - please get involved.

To sign up, just copy and paste the list from the latest post in the thread, then add your PSN ID. After that, boot up Starhawk on Friday at 9PM - slap on a headset and prepare for lulz.

Disclaimer: Whilst team killing in private, organised events amongst friends is outrageously hilarious - it is a practise to be frowned on in public games where victims are not attuned to the TKA way of thinking. Please play safe and fair when Hawking in public.
