I have had two ideas, which I think would do well, to combat spawn killing/base ravaging if a team were to find theselves in such a scenario - though it was probably their own fault. In the minimap interface (pre spawning) when you have an overview of the battlefield it would help if you could:
a) Build buildings using your rift energy in your base areas - specifically turrets - before you had spawned using the minimap screen
b) Fire a few locking missles from the dropship onto vehicles that were around your initial spawn base before your spawn again using the minimap interface to do so. Or perhaps fire them from your pod as you are landing.
c) I also think that removing the spawn location marker is important - cant really think of a good reason for it - perhaps it should only be visible for teamates
d) Changing teams should only be available in the first minute of play - as many cowards flee to the opposing team or out of the match
Anyway - I do enjoying trying to get out of a base ravage - I just wish that my teammates would'nt quit or change sides.

Someone suggested having the option to shoot from your pod after you land, so you have a chance of killing someone before climbing out.
To be honest, I think the spawn markers need to stay. I want a fighting chance of dodging them rather than getting mancaked every time I go near an enemy base.

Perhaps 3 missles? Enemies could still fire on the base from outside the base zone radius. It would probably make CTF too hard to play I suppose

I know it can be annoying, but to be honest, if a team pull it's collective finger out and works together then it's not impossible to reclaim a base.
For a start, mancake as many tanks as possible and if it looks like they're dodging you then you could just redirect to some cover or elevated spot, so you can at least hurl some grenades at them. Either way, don't drop right into the middle of a base if it's being overrun - try to redirect yourself away and preferably to some rift barrels or weapons.
Mechs are easy to kill if teammates combine their firepower and it's always wise to shoot from a distance to confuse your enemies.
I've been on the receiving end of a few baserapes but I've rarely seen a game where it stays that way. Sooner or later, if you work hard, you can send the mothers packing.
