Warhawk "Newbie"

Hi Guys / Girls

I know!.."what planet have I been living on"...but I've only just got myself a PS3 (yes,I know "Unbelievable" ).

Now that embarrassment is over I'll get to the point.

I've been in several games and I must say,it's been dreadful:smileysad: most of the games I've been in I've been deliberately team killed or if I've happened to be on a winning team it's been discontinued by the server. And I've yet to find a 32 man game?..

Is it always like this, have I come along at the worst possible time. Am I to late for Warhawk ?

I don't understand why it's still not popular,it doesn't look dated and it plays well.

Is there a good "Band of Brothers" I can join,I learn really quickly so should rank up fast.

Cheers

Yagi

Re: Warhawk "Newbie"

buddy, your first few rank ups will be fairly quick, but you will more quickly realise the scale of the ranking mountain as you progress through it...

most people on here would say your too late by at least a year for warhawk, but there are still some of us playing it and playing fairly, we're just not on it as often as back in the game's prime, and consequently we're quite difficult to find all at once and in the same server:smileyindifferent:

however, feel free to add me on psn, and there are a few others still around these forums who i'm sure will be happy for you to join them ingame and/or add them on psn.

be warned though, this game is hugely difficult but under the right circumstances, also huge fun:smileywink:

Re: Warhawk "Newbie"

feel free to add me aswell m8...i play quite regularly though mostly in PR servers:smileyhappy:

its hard to get a "good" game in the official blue servers now 'cos they're mostly full of generals on a KDR high or Alts on a KDR high:smileysad:

either way add me AZY1978 and get ready to have a blast 'cos no matter how old this game is...it still ROCKS

Welcome to Warhawk. What the guys have said is spot on. Ive played over 500hrs now and i still love it,its usually my game of choice when I get time on the PS3.

As for playing the game, you will get used to good servers. Add some of the guys on here and you wont go far wrong. If you ever need some help with skills just ask.

Add me on PSN if you like: bowes_foundation

Re: Warhawk "Newbie"

dude this game still rocks!

i had this game since day 1 and its still by far the best

my advise to you is to stay on the recruit serveres written in green for as long as possible , although there will still be people who have had there stats wiped (for cheating)ie no kill zones etc but the majority of people will be newbs1

also ive noticed there are a few pr servers that wont let higher ranks in but be careful though they could contain a few bandits

another thing that maybe be worth trying is to take note of people who seem to be finding it hard and message them and starting a pr server at least this would help you get a feel for the game and the weapons available

also you dont need to rank up to quicky because you wont be able to play these serevers

and remember in warhawk ur always someones prey

happy hawking

Re: Warhawk "Newbie"

Cheers M8,excuse the late reply (hooked on Warhawk lol ).Thanks for the advise,I don't really understand all the terminology yet so bear with me if I ask some obvious questions.I've ranked up a few notches so I'm not quite sure were I stand now.To be honest I've been so busy concentrating on the game I don't even know what rank I am (I'll have a check today).

I can only concur with you regarding how great Warhawk is,I really don't understand why there are not more servers:Confused: The game plays really well, looks and feels great.

I've experienced a few disappointments with some of the servers.A few I've been on appear to be cheating ,swapping sides and sabotaging the game,Invisible people and so on (can't anyone do something about this,it really spoils the game). The other problem I've come across is,I'm getting "kicked"  quite a lot,I'm definitely (to the best of my knowledge ) not cheating, so I'm not quite sure what's going on.I've sent messages to ask "why" but have had no replies:Help:..

I tend to stick to the servers highlighted in blue ,but there are not many and sometimes I can't find anyone playing on them.

The only server I can trust at the moment is the one that "Tegazy1978" has  kindly set-up,it's a ground War only ,which suits me just fine (no good in a Hawk).I'm grateful for this because I can really relax and enjoy myself with out the fear of being "Kicked" .

How do I join a clan ?...I'm quite a competitive person (but not to serious ) and I like winning but,I'm definitely "not" a sore loser and I like a good laugh.

Is there anyone on here willing to take a newbie under their wing:Thumbs:

Thanks again  for the advise  guys (where's the girls ?) and also for  the  welcome:Smile:

Re: Warhawk "Newbie"

Ahhh it's good to have you in warhawk :smileytongue:
While I can't call myself an expert, I stand my own at the blue servers, so I'd say I'm good enough.
It's too late to get good at flying now, the game is full of 1337 pilots, but you and I can make a private game and have you practice at throwing grenades and shooting the RPG, which frankly, is the best anti troop weapon, although it seems to be anti vehicle. A good shooter can take most enemies down with it in 1 projectile, which is harder with nades seeing their low blast radius.

And this goes to all warhawk players, I'm always looking for new warhawk friends, still have got a lot of free friend spaces in my list :smileyvery-happy:
