I have said it before but its really getting to me now, the lazer on the sniper ruins the gun. it is not in the nature of a sniper to give away his position so why would he shine a light at his target? i understand that some sort of hint is needed to find a sniper or it would just be a sniper fest. As it stands now people only use sniper rifles once in a shield and even then they dont get many kills.

I suggest that instead of the lazer you swap it with a bullet trace. that way you can at least line up one or two shots before someone spots you and fights back. 

I know i will get some replies saying i just need to be better with the gun but i feel that i am better than some with the rifle but its off putting when you spot a target and while your trying to lock on for the kill he spots yours lazer and runs a mile.

Something has got to be done to save the sniper play in this game.

I was'nt happy with the lazer sight when we played the Beta.....

But have gotten used to it...

I dont think it does!!!!

Theres still ppl in the game probably more so on the smaller maps....

yhhh after playing warhawk many years when i played the beta everyday i complained about this laser gun  disco fever laser light show evry dammm day i hated the dammm thing

but its grown on me now at least i know when a crapp sniper on me i can see them a good sniper will aim at the last min so youj dont see the light for so long

tip 1 try to aim away from were the enemy is looking if you can get behind them perfect if you can get hight in any map even better aim your sights so the 2 line  of the aiming target is between the target (you can put aim on in the menu ) than scope and shoot always fire 2 rounds than reload. it sucks to hit 1 round and run out of buillets.

no scope tips haaaaaaaaaa any telling any1 that it wiull just kill starhawk if i tell you but it not that hard as everyone thing it is requires practise a lot easier than warhawk because you have 3 rounds not 1 lol

practice practice try co ops with the cpu enemy and practice on them for a whille thanks you

sniper os a very good secondary weapons if you learn how to use it you can shhot the hawk pilot the tank driver the gunner the sidewinder everything i have done them all and it can be done !!!

i forgot to say this but if you aim behind them unless they have eyes behind their head they wont see you dont be silly and point your gun in his line of sight if they far away do a quick scope to see were he is faceing AIM BEHIND THE ENEMY (than move on to your target from behind) thanks mate

I hear all your suggestions, but i do try to aim behind the person and get to high ground. my point is that the lazer is unrealistic, just like the bruiser skill allows a person to destroy a building by swiping his knife at it. these little niggles ruin the game for me. and unless the DLC is awesome like warhawks DLC was then i can see me losing interest in this game soon.

For all the problems with having a lazer sight on the sniper rifle seeming to shout out "i'm here looking for you"!!!!

Its quiet nice to actually get the kill be it the sought after one shot kill to the head or the now familiar two rapid shots to the body....

i myself have been thinking exactly the same, maybe it could be made into a skill? i get around it by quickly scoping out the shot before the laser shows, and then no-scoping it. it would be nice if i could rely on the zoom like halo though.

not being a sniper myself, but having tried it a few times, i would suggest the following.

you cannot get rid of the laser, otherwise some people will be sniper spamming all over the game, which unbalances it.

however while a single headshot kills, it still take 3 or 4 shots to the body ??? stupid.

a max 2 shot to the body kill needs to be added otherwise as previously said nobody will bother to use the sniper rifle at all.

although i do think its funny how some tank drivers still think the rifle can damage their tank. shoot them once and they backpeddle as fast as they can. :laugh.
