Ok warhawkers, im posting here as all i can see in the play tv section is complaining how crap the product is, the rason i put warhawk in the title is so the mods don't move this thread

So to my question, is this worth buying? is anyone else using it? should i just buy a tivo instead?

i have seen Ace and ripping using it alot

must be pretty good then cause ive never known ace to continuously use a bad product

yeah true i've seen ace on it a bit, in play tv can you set it up to turn off automatically after finishing recording a program? the only reason i ask is i don't want it left on over night etc if a program finishes at 11pm or something.

no idea, i use my computer for recording stuff (primarily the F1)

play tv is awesome....ace never uses a bad product! (lol where did that come from wild?)

the ps3 will self switch on and off when recording and finishing recording. It really is quite perfect.

only thing is you may want to upgrade your HDD. any questions?

the only downside is.....gotta go!

you have hinted that something isnt as you want it, you dont seem to speak highly of it (i.e. ditching spartons sister cause you thought he left TOW, my a2a TOWs on you )

id go for a tivo, less wear on your ps3

a tv tuner in your pc is only $80

but will only record one thing at once

I have both and I can say that the Tivo is WAY better, but it costs WAY more money.

If your after a true twin tuner and Season Pass capabilities get a Tivo.

If you are after a decent budget tuner go for PlayTV.
