Well, the FAQ say nothing about prohibited advertising.

FAQ 11 just mentions this: Games and applications distributed through the PS Store will be limited to paid (including freemium) content for the moment. (Revised on Apr. 27th, 2012)

It would be very disappointing if the Vita/PSS would prohibit what every other platform allows.

I am almost certain advertising will not be supported. As the FAQ suggests (and I believe the GDC slides mentioned it too) there will be paid and potentially freemium games. I believe the games will be sold generally at a more premium price too and the quality of the games will hopefully be controlled. I know for my own games atleast I will be releasing them at a premium price point on PSS.

Yeah, we are also worried about this, but never read something about advertising at all, neither if it will be allowed or prohibited.

You are right with your statement about the "more premium price" focus. It seems that a developer/publisher is even bound to some price range. F.ex. you may not be allowed to offer a .99 cent game/app. Unfortunately statements like "pricing structure based on current market conditions." won't clear much things up.

Regarding controlled quality: there are two sides of the medal. You can prevent "low quality" games like you might find in Xbox Live Indie, but also prevent openness like it was intended.

Releasing a game for a premium price is always a hard decision, as every platform hast diffrent pricing structures, and you are not able to offer it for the same price on all platforms.
