Set Audio Playback position

The ability to set the playback position of a (new) sound / BGM. .

As there is only one Bgm sound allowed at a time, there is no way to pause a Bgm, play another one, and resume the old one. Not really nice when playing a Pause menu Bgm and having to restart the original bgm afterwards. Something like a set position in theBgm.CreatePlayer(), or the ability to set the playback position property when the audio file is in pause/stopped state.

Yes, +1 this. My music is tied to my gameplay, so when I pause the game I need to pause the music.

 

I thought maybe I could do it by setting the playback rate to a sufficiently small number, but no, that appears to cap at a minimum of 0.25f.

Actually, I was confused. I see there already is a Pause. My needs are met.

It'd also be useful for loading halfway through a level or suchlike. I suppose at the moment a workaround would be to set the playback rate ridiculously high until it reached the correct position, and then set it to the normal rate, (i.e. fast forwarding through the first part of the track) but it seems like there should be a simpler way.
