Suggestion about this forum

Next to the Suggestions section (which I consider to be a section for improvement suggestions), I would like to see a new forum section called

"Tips & Tricks"

where forum members can share valuable tips and tricks to enable all developers to drive the usage of the PS platform to the max ... and beyond!

As an example (message to start with in that new section):

Smaller buttons for the UI Composer

Do you need a button with a height smaller than 56px?



You can do this by changing the Background type to: Custom

After that, you can set seperate background images for the three states: Normal, Pressed, Disabled

Use the 9-Patch entries to finetune the look of the button.

To speed up, I have added a three custom background images that you can place in your assets folder (in PS Suite Studio + set Build to: Content) to get gray plastic buttons.





 After that, you can use them in the UI Composer.

You can now adjust the Height of the button to (for example): 47px

Further, adjust the 9-patch sizes to your personal taste (this example looks fine if you fill in value 6 for all 9-patch entries)
