Alright guys, I have a true quandary on my hands. I have a CECH-L01 that recently I couldn't get to display a picture. I did a Remote reset and Voila!! I could get a picture using AV Cables. Well that was just the beginning, I noticed there was no sound at all!!! So i figured i would try to get HDMI to work again. I tried everything that I could do from the XMB menu. I turned the unit off and tried to get it to go into safe mode... but I hold down the button and it just stays green!! There's no second beep for the video reset, no double beep for the safe mode indicator, just solid green. Eventually, If I hold the button long enough, the PS3 does power off.... ANY Ideas as to what could be causing this?? I've already tried a different hard drive, checked all cables, etc.!?!?!? HELP!!!

Sorry if I confused you:
1. There is a remote reset button on the back of the PS3 controller that you can use to reset the system as well.
2. Restore mode doesn't work... AT ALL.. meaning that when i press and hold the power button.. nothing happens.. the light just stays green and then will eventually just turn off the system... I have tried it 100 times with the same effect.. unplugged it, plugged it back in.. everything.
3. I have already tried restoring the default settings via the xmb menu.. still nothing... It is the weirdest error I've ever had.
I can't help but think that the unit not being able to enter into restore mode and the issues with HDMI are related. I have just never had a unit that wouldn't go into restore mode... I just find that really weird.... Any other ideas on what could be the issue?

Yes, I know it only resets the controller, however I have gotten units to work by doing that trick.. it seems to "wake up" the ps3 sometimes. I have tried turning it off, retrying it. I have tried 3 different TVs and 3 Different HDMI cables... I'm really at a loss unless there is something wrong with one of the chips on the motherboard. I just haven't heard of anyone else having this problem. On top of that, I don't even get a single beep when holding down the power button.. it's almost as if it doesn't recognize that i'm holding down the power button at all, but will turn on.. .Now when i do hold down the button, it eventually shuts off. but maybe like 25 second after I'm holding it down.
