Im having problems with the new update too, i downloaded it no problems but when it comes to install itgets stuck at 99% and seems to freeze.

Ive completely powered down and restarted but get the same problem. is there anyway i can restart my PS3 without "installing" happening?

Have you tried downloading it from the web and installing it from USB stick?

Re: 3.60 - THE DATA IS CORRUPTED. (8002F2C5)

Lodias, have a look in the other threads.. we are I believe thousands which have the same problem. And actually the problem is from the 3.56 fw. If you had a 3.56, then changed the hard drive and then tried to update to 3.60 then you're stucked. Only solution is if you didn't plug old HDD to a PC and didn't format it, if this is the case, then just get back the old HDD, update to 3.60 and then change the HDD. If you had plugged your old HDD already to PC or even formatted it... then at this moment there is no solution at all.
