I'm not going to create a new account yet either.  It seems like a stupid idea that if I create a new user with the same id that this will fix the problem.  It shouldn't have happened in the first place, all I did was change my password.  I cant understand why this would make the system and games think that I am a new user!

Another question is does this affect new games that you haven't played yet as well?  I'm thinking of getting Call Of Duty World at War and Resistance 2 but if this problem will affect them, then I'm not bothering.

This needs to be stickied, if you do a google search for error 80022d11 (the code that comes up on certain games when you have the trophy error) you will see that this is a far more widespread problem than you may think it is.  It seems to be affecting a large number of people and there has not been any word from Sony.

This is so frustrating, my daughter is very upset as she has been working really hard on Little Big planet and we had 67% of the trophies.

Please someone from Sony listen to this problem and give us an update on what is being done to resolve this!

I really wish they'd hurry up and fix this. They've known about this since the start of November but still no word or warning from Sony. I never play my PS3 in the Summer. I only bought it to play in the winter when it's too cold or rainy to go down the the park. If I am unable to play on it over christmas then I am going to be ******.

I know the feeling man, yeh this is the weird thing the problem doesn't happen to any new games I bought after I had the trophy error, I bought COD5 and Bioshock and I'm earning trophies for those games, but not the one's i had won trophies on prior to the trophy error...

Good to know that new games aren't affected, but very annoying for current games.  I have Far Cry 2, Dead Space, Bioshock, Little Big Planet, GTA 4 and Burnout which are all buggered now because of this stupid, incomprehensible glitch!

Right, heres a list of those who are known to have been affected by this problem.  It seems to be linked to password change, if anyone know different please post.  I'm sure that its only a matter of time before more people are affected by this very annoying problem:

If you know anyone else affected please get them to post and bump this post to the max, until its resolved. 

Do a google search for this error code and it brings up absolutely loads of forums with people saying that they have this error, but nothing from Sony.

Wait...so the trophy error only affects the games that already exist and not the new games?

B/c I didn't test this before making a new acc. and kinda fixed the problem. For now, I can get trophies, but I can't run my old saves for my trophy games -_-

Its not affecting the newer games you get because you don't have an old save file for it and when you started playing you created a save file.  If you were using a file that had been created prior to your change in the acct section of the XMB you would get that this is not your save routine crap

I have been bumping threads about it and posted on the blog something needs to be done

R2 is definitely affected, LBP, Wipeout, GTA IV, Uncharted I can verify personally, I have read Burnout and Dead space as well so its gotta be all trophy games.  Keep in mind this is just if you had a save to begin with, it will say it is not your save.  If you start a new game without a prior save there shouldn't be a problem.

I have also just installed the new firmware, 2.53 , had no effect, saves still wont load.
