Account Activations

Hi, I have a little problem.

I am on my last activation for my account and my US account is totally full.

Can I just also say that I have had  12 or 13 PS3 in my lifetime. Starting with a day one Japanese launch console that I paid close to 600 for and then the official uk 60, then a 40, and another 40 for down tairs, the an 80 for down stairs and an 80 gig for upstairs, then 2 120 gig slime, then 2 250gigs. Then I was unemployed for a bit and sold these, then I had another 250 gig and an 80gig and now finally I have just my 120gig slim. And will probably have another one before long when the new 320 gig bundle comes out. As you can see Sony has had a lot of my hard earned cash out of me.

What I want to know is that I was unaware about deactivating the PSN accounts untill recently.

I thought just deleteing the account password from the Playstation in question was fine. I had this problem before but I just thought my console was faulty and the girl at Sony said thats she's reset it. I assumed it was just an error. anyways to cut a long story a little short. I am very worried that if this console goes down I will not be able to get into my account any more like my U.S. one. I am only 20 or 30 quid down with my US account but my UK has nearly 250 quids worth of content. And the last time I phoned the SOny line he told me to just start a new account and remember to deactivate it. I said well thats fine for him and if he wants to give me 250 quid credit on my new account I would be more than happy to do that. Sureley there is something that can be done. Why should I have to loose all my content when its is not my fault. I have read all the manuals from cover to cover and no where can I see it saying please remeber to deactivate your console before you sell it.

I am so fed up really I am

PS cant wait for my new move controller to arrive.

Re: Account Activations

contact the people you sold the older PS3 versions too and ask them to delete your accounts, I would say though having the amount of PS3's you have had you have more money than sence

I would also say that with the amount of PS3's you have had that the people you have sold to have already deleted your accounts.

Lesson to be learned here

Re: Account Activations

Your only real option is to call Sony back, and throw yourself on their goodwill :smileysad:

As I am sure you are now aware, you can only have 5 activations per account, with each deactivation obviously reducing that total back down - I'm not quite sure how you have managed to get as far as you have already, having had 12 or 13 of them! :smileysurprised: :smileyhappy:

One other point to note is that it is against Sony T&Cs to have an account for a region that you don't live in - so unless you can prove dual UK and US residency, your US account really is likely to be a lost cause.

* YLOD? * *PSN Connection Problems?* *Blu Ray Problems

And we weren't even testing for that..
