Can anyone suggest a solution to my  iPlayer stuttering problem?

I get stuttering from buffering every few seconds on my PS3, but neither of my home PCs (one a good 5yr old) suffer from the same problem.  The PS3 and both PCs are using the same wireless connection to my broadband and broadband speed checkers suggest i'm getting between 4.7 and 6.4 meg so fairly decent connection (yeah I know they're not *that* reliable lol).

I get no problems with general PSN downloads and online gaming is pretty much lag-free.  I've tried all the obvious things, turning off all other wireless kit, making sure no one's leeching my connection, used a wired connection for a while etc.

Is it normal for iPlayer performance to be poorer on PS3?

ever so lightly i get 1-3 buffers on my ps3 0-2 on my pc

only used it a couple of times, but i dont remember having any problems, i'm getting less than 3meg but wired connection to PS3
