what connection are you using to the TV, and what happens when you play a game?

by Scart, I'm guessing you mean the 3 leads (yellow, red, white) into the back of a Scart block? (this is the lowest / worst method to use by the way, if you can use anything better, please do! :))

Check the Display Settings (in there, Video Output settings), and also the Video Settings, both from the 2nd icon on the XMB (Settings)

Hi.

Do you realise that you won't experience 'Blu-ray quality' without a High Definition TV? :S

If you want to watch High Definition movies, then you'll need a HD TV and a HDMI cable (or composite) to connect the PS3 to the TV.

You could always check the settings as TTDegs suggests.

Apparently a scart cable that is capable of RGB would give you colour. No guarantees though.

Hope that helps.

I have NO idea if this thread -> http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-3-General-Discussion/PS3-SCART-green-screen/m-p/9... may be in any way related, but I'm otherwise clutching at straws...
