It sounds like were all suffering with the same problems Audi. I think i could take it better if it was just a ***** up but im starting to think its a bit more than that.

 I have sent a email to Criterion but ive still not had a reply.

The exact same thing happened to me. I finally finished getting the online trophies yesterday (timed challenges + 10 miles on a bike) and when I went to play today it started at the intro screen.

Now it's overwritten my game data with a brand new game.

I was 93% finished and only had 4 cars left to get.

I was just thinking that because I'm done with this game, I was going to pick up NFS: Hot Pursuit. Now I'm not so sure anymore.

Well we didn't get much help getting this problem fixed did we.

Burnout was paradise before you lose your Main save information. Who on earth wants to start from the beggining  with NO choice in the matter. EXIT from the game you have a black screen PLz wait and then watch out . YOUR Machine switches its self off and then on again The Disc is still inside the ps3 the controller goes of too so press the ps Button to retrieve the disc and then Bomb Shell your save is toast

No Surf island no cars update V>1.90  NO Save information WOW is this normal far from it .. Please can this be resolved as its affecting so many loyal players who invest so much time to achieve the objective

and who purchase cars  and the Surf Island it ,may not be a big new game but its  just as important to the players FLYING-LUMP-50

Thought it was just me until 2 online friends reported the same trouble. Did an online search which brought me here. 101% licence, 496 / 500 online challenges done in over 110 hours all gone in an instant - but still no-one knows anything about it. (lost another save last night after re-doing 50 online challenges). Not sure i want to risk it again

If you are a Playstation Plus member back it up that way that's all ive been doing.

I hope everyone here is calling Sony's Tech line and telling them about this issue also call EA as They say they have never heard of this problem.  The more we complain the better chance to resolve the problem and we dedicated drivers can return to paradise city instead of burning it down.

I'm pretty certain I know what the problem is, but I am unsure who to contact about it. EA (as it's their game), or Sony (as it's a problem caused by PSN).

Well I played BP at the weekend and I put it in my PS3 just now, and no problems for me.

And I have my save backed up to the Cloud and on USB stick as well, just in case.

My guess there is a bad sector on the HDD corrupting the saves. So boot it into Safe Mode and rebuild the database.

Oh I am a 120gb PS3 slim user.

Can I ask what model PS3s you are using?
