Same problem for the last 2 days. I still get internet and updates. When I go to the playstation store access points in "games" or "video" it even displays new games/movies.

I've been having this problem since I got this PS3 in December.  I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with the problem and that I'm not just an idiot on figuring out the settings.

Same here, "The connection with Sony Entertainment Network has timed out".

The internet browser on my PS3 Slim and PSP-3000 works perfectly fine with my internet.

However in terms of signing into the S.E.N, my PS3 Slim is constantly giving me that message when i try to sign in on it and when i sign into the S.E.N on my PSP-3000 it works perfectly fine.

Is the maintenance on Thursday going to fix this issue that apparently some people are having?

What's the point of getting an update for PSN and then it screwing over a ton of users... I haven't been able to connect this whole week since the update. i try to fix the problem with changing my network setting but all its gives me in server to the network can't be established and all that bs.  PSN is useless now. idk why i bother to keep trying to sign in.

If the vita is causing this issue then it should just create a seprate network sever for them...

Getting the same message once in a while with; Error Code: 80710092 or then just plain Connection to Sony Entertainment Network timed out. Also this same thing occured to two of my friends while we were playing, it signed in with few attempts and while playing online, all of the sudden signed out.

 

This is an outrage, I swear that if this is another attack on PSN/SEN I'm gonna switch to something else. XboX, Wii, PC anything...

This can happen for a variety of reasons as it is a very generic error. It's possible that every person here has a completely different issue that won't be solved by a single fix for everyone.

Yeh same here but i only was able to update to the latest ps3 version a couple of days efore me writing this
Now the games nee updating burnout paradise gt5 test drive unlimited 2 and nfs hot pursuit bu they are all 250mb+ updates with the larest being 608mb and i get to about 5% in about 1hour then it comes up with connection error and every time i try to do a connection test it gets to playstation network and it fails coz the connecion to sony entertainment network times out please help.
We have a orange broadband but the modem/router is a netgear n150 and we moved house and before we had bt and no problems help please my psn is randomdude2010 iadd me ONLY if you can help

If you have Orange Broadband and are on an older plan, you may be being capped and having your connection drastically slowed down:

 

it concerns a handful of customers who’ve signed up with us before April 2009 on plans which had a 2GB, 6GB or 10GB data limit. If you’d like to check which plan you are on, just log into the Member Centre.


If you are one of them you may have hit your download limit and be unable to download at a high enough speed for the PS3 to recognise.
