Hi all,

   I am trying to deactivate my PSN account from my PSN account. When I login to the panel on the official PlayStation site and click the option to deactivate PSP it tries to download a webpage instead of running it as the page has a strange extension (xpd I think), therefore I cannot deactivate the account.

If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears. Also it is not a browser problem as it only happens on this site and I have tried many different computer and browser combinations.

I didn't even know there WAS an option to deactivate accounts via the web, I thought that could only be done from the console itself!

I'm sorry, I have NO idea how that is supposed to work!
Is the PSP supposed to be connected to the PC or something for it to know which PSP you are trying to deactivate?

Sorry, didn't initially spot that this was a PSP deactivation when I first read your initial post

I am assumming it will deactivate the account that you are logged in with on the website from the linked PSP, basically breaking the link. I guess I will have to phone customer services...
