Everywhere I read about this error it says "80029946 - Attempting to play burnt Dual layer NTSC disc on a Pal ps3" But this doesn't seem to fit the problem. And when I search the forums here I get nothing.
I have been getting "Millennium Season 1" from LoveFilm.com. I have watched Discs 1-4, no problems. I now received Disc 5 and got the error code. Nothing plays, no Advisory screens as some have described before this error is shown.
What has changed (I am not aware of any updates between disc 4 & 5 being played)?
Why?
When is it likely to be resolved?
I'm not interested in copying off information to watch it, I am not even sure if this would be allowed or even feasible. I just want it to continue playing as it has been doing until now.

I am having the same problem but it is occuring on the same disc.
I have managed to watch the first two episodes of Skins Series on disc 1 but when I try and play the 3rd and 4th (both on disc 1 still) I get the 80029946 error code.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with a video of a conference given in the University of Antwerp/Belgium.
Can anybody help us out?

I'm having the same problem. Trailer Park Boys Seasons 5 and 6 were both released last Wednesday the 3rd of Feb 2010. I bought them on Saturday the 6th. I've since watched all of season 5 and disc 1 of season 6 with no problem.
When it came to disc 2, I was able to watch the episodes but when I click on the first special feature it won't play. Instead it comes up with error 80029946 and stops playing the DVD. I can still watch the episodes but not the special features.
This is the only page online that I've found that describes this problem. All the others describe this code as being a different error. I'm not playing a burnt disc or an NTSC but a PAL region 4 dvd that I actually bought. Please help?
