Re: Error (8008102E) on PS Store for Playstation Certified Devices

I've finally got through to someone on the Store customer service who didn't try to fob me off!

They took all my details and will investigate the problem. I am expecting a call back today or tomorrow, I will post what happens asap.

It's quite clear there is a major problem as more and more people have this problem with the new games that have been added. Also I see what you all mean, about the descriptions mentioning the PSP and PS3, this is probably because they have just 'cut and pasted' the text from the standard releases, as why would games show up that aren't compatible with our devices? Maybe they have uploaded the wrong files after all!

just spoke to experia chat support, it is a problem, they say any game on there that doesn't say supports experia s, play or sony tablet won't work and they need to do some testing on this matter, am now off to ring ps store for a refund for grandia (i own the original game so don't need to download it to my ps3 or vita grr)

Re: Error (8008102E) on PS Store for Playstation Certified Devices

Well thats just stupid, why would those games show up when we are accessing the store through the app on our phones/tablet? As we don't see PSP/PS3/Vita games so I can only assume that what we see is compatible with what we are accessing the store with?

I think they've ballsed up as even Pocket Gamer reported that 11 new PS1 games were released for Certified Devices, so I don't think what it says in the description is correct, more like they've uploaded the wrong files!

Re: Error (8008102E) on PS Store for Playstation Certified Devices

Just had a check of the descriptions, talk about being contradictory, like it's been said on here before, only Oddworld has the PSP/PS3 compatibility description, but they all have a new bit which states you need a 3G/WiFi connection for licence check - that says to me these games are for our phones/tablets.

I guess it's just a waiting game for Sony to get it sorted (a bit embarrassing for them considering this is the first new batch of games to be added!)

Re: Error (8008102E) on PS Store for Playstation Certified Devices

Well, I bought the game GRANDIA via PlayStation Store on my Sony XPERIA S and got charged for that. Now, that I tried downloading it via PlayStation Store on my PS3 and my PSP system (all same accounts), the games did not even show up in my account...

Same here with RR Type 4 on Xperia S while there was no problem with Rayman.

Re : Error (8008102E) on PS Store for Playstation Certified Devices

[ Edited ]

Its clear more people are falling foul of the new games for certified devices!

Here's me thinking after finally getting a phone with PS certification, and the fact there are now more devices other than the Play, it would be a perfect reason for Sony to start releasing more titles to the PS 'Android' Store - they have and its looking good for even more class PS1 titles to appear for our phones.

But what a way to kick start this off!  DAMAGE LIMITATION, DAMAGE LIMITATION SONY!

The sooner you sort this, the quicker it will be forgotton.  If it takes too long, you'll alienate customers before you've even started to move!  No point releasing PS certified devices if the games you release for them don't work!!! DOH!

Re : Error (8008102E) on PS Store for Playstation Certified Devices

Ah ha! Something must be happening! At approximately 22:30 (uk) I checked the Store, and tried to DL RRt4, this time no error code!!!! The game still didn't download, but it appears in my DL list now :-)

So I wonder what next? The error this time just pops up in the notification bar along the top of my Xperia S

Same here on the french store, the download fails just at the beginning. That's an evolution at least.

Let's hope it'll be fix for tomorrow.
