Re: Error (8008102E) on PS Store for Playstation Certified Devices

Good News!  I spoke to contacts at Playstation this morning and they at least know of the issue now and have released a memo to staff alerting this problem and explaining that it will be fixed SOOON. Hence the reason we are seeing progress on the games downloading.

So now we just play the waiting game.

Slightly off topic.  I do really hope that Twisted Metal 2 and Destruction Derby 2 come to teh PS Certified store. :smileyhappy:

It's been fixed, I can download Ridge Racer Type 4.

Re : Error (8008102E) on PS Store for Playstation Certified Devices

Yup, me too, kinda wish i never bothered with this now....

Its terrible, the framerate on the menu is about half the speed it should be, and the music in-game changes volume randomly - sounds terrible.

And to top it off, it doesn't appear on the 'Playstation Pocket' application on the Xperia Play :smileysad:

I actually thought to myself "i'll buy Tekken now the download is working, to show my support" untill i played RRT4, what a waste of time and money.

What the actual f*** is wrong with Sony?

Try restarting the phone and playing the game without opening anything unnecessary. Phones have limitations and multitasking causes a big drop in performance with them.
I wouldn't expect a decent gaming experience from a phone tbh, that's why I opted for a Vita, instead of a new phone. Anything you get on a phone besides texting and calling really is a bonus.

Fixed here too! :-)

Loving RR4 on my Xperia S! Runs perfectly!

For people with the Play, I think to be fair the hardware specs are just capable, I had an Arc and when it came out all was good, but as the newer generations of Android games came out the phone just didnt have the ram to cope and as the play has the same specs I'm not suprised this phone may struggle with 'certain' PS1 games even though this was the first certified device!

The conversion i made from my own disc using the PSXperia tool - runs perfectly, so it's capable. Think i'll just use that instead. And the games appear under the Playstation pocket app.

Hi RabidWalker

can you address the issues with Ridge Racer Type 4

-Slow FPS in menus (Literally half speed for some reason, less demanding than the 3D in this game)

-Wierd Audio volume issue during race (gets loud then quiet for no reason, constantly)

-Game not appearing in Playstation Pocket App (Why would you not support your own platform?)

Using an Xperia Play

Re: Error (8008102E) on PS Store for Playstation Certified Devices

The Modern Warfare 3 Collection pack is not available on the PS Store for PlayStation Certified Devices. It would be on the PlayStation Store for PS3, which isn't the same thing.

Confusing, but in essence, PS Certified Devices are smartphone.
