im getting an error code 80710013 on my ps3 when trying to download a movie I purchased. It says on the PS network online that my system is activated for games and video but when i try do that on my ps3 itself it throws the error. I have the lastest update on the ps3.

Im getting the same message here is my deal and what i was just told by sony,  I had an old system that crashed, bought a new system and today tried to rent a movie. Message told me I can only have one PS3 activated for video content at a time so i had to deactivate the old one before I could activate this one. Called sony to have that done, they said good to go but it didnt work, The system let me purchase the movie but when I went to download it got the error code and got it again when I tried to reactivate the video content. The online website showed that my old system was still activated for video and games. to jump to the end the last guy i talked to said theyre system for deactivating accounts is currently down so they wont be able to deactivate my old one untill tomorrow which means i cant activate my new one or access video content. Dont know if you have an old system thats still active buy maybe since something to do with their video section is acting up this may be affecting you anyway. So my advice is wait till tomorrow try to download it if you cant call them. Sony is really beginning to ***** me off.

So I left it 24 hours and tried to download again and it has worked now! after I spoke to the UK support team they said sometimes if you try to activate video on the ps3 too many times PS store locks you out for 24 hours... I hadn't actually tried to activate that many times but it seems to have fixed itself...

This is true flamemorph, although I wasn't aware the service for deactivating Video was unavailable at that time. The error generally does mean as mentioned that the console has not been activated for video, and will need to be by activating the console, or using support to deactivate a previous console allowing for you t activate the new one for playback.
