Sorry if this has been posted and answered and/or this is the wrong place...
Before firmware 3.00 arrived, approaching a platinum trophy would have your trophy level for a game sitting at around 80~85%, but since then, a game in the same state will now be up over 90%.
For instance, on Battlefield Bad Company I have one bronze and one silver to get, and it used to show (I think) 82%. Now it shows I have 95% of trophies. It should be noted that a platinumed game still correctly shows as 100%. (All values discounting any extra DLC trophies).
Is this a bug, or an unlisted change that either a) severely reduced the value of a platinum trophy or b) changed the percentage calculation to use the number of trophies instead of the value of the trophies?

As far as I know Sony just changed trophies percentage calculation in FW 3.0. Someone found that trophies percentage on retail games goes up, and not on PSN games. Probably calculation its no longer based on the type of trophies (silver, gold) you have left to accomplish, but solely the number of trophies.
Yeah the platinum available in retail games used to be worth around 15% of the total, so the change will be more noticable than a PSN game.
Oh well, I preferred it the old way, but then there's a lot of things I preferred from before 3.00...
