[ Edited ]

I'm afraid your PS3 is broken. Is it still under garantee? Getting it fixed is quite expensive, and quite a gamble as you'll get someone else's refurb. Lots of refurbs are known to have stopped working as well after some time. I bought a new PS3 when I had a yellow light of death.

Re: can anyone help?

Here is a guide to all the different light combinations of the PS3 and what they mean.

Your problem sounds like something that will require repairs of the system. If you're under warranty, (Had the PS3 less than a year) then Sony will replace it for free. Otherwise there will be a charge and you may find it cheaper, or better value to invest in a new one :smileywink:

Here's the link to the support numbers if you choose to call them.

Or you can read up on the Sales Of Good Act which has worked for some people by ringing up sony

If you want to go down that road, I recommend taking it up with someone higher up than callcenter staff as they're only contracted by Sony and tend to freak out and end the call when you quote law at them.

Here's a link to the "Sale of Goods Act 1979" for those interested.
